Some episodes feel like travel brochures come to life, lacking the critical edge you'd get from a BBC or PBS equivalent. But there's a relaxed pace here that works. You can tune in at 3pm and drift through a series on national parks without feeling rushed. Commercial breaks exist but don't dominate, the channel's ad load is lighter than most US cable offerings. It's not groundbreaking television, but it fills a specific mood: Saturday afternoon, nowhere to go, want to see something pretty. If that's your vibe, you'll appreciate the curation. For everyone else, there's probably not enough variety to sustain daily viewing. Still, for occasional use, it does exactly what it promises.
