America's Funniest Home Videos is a network TV survivor, on the air since 1989, still running, still making people laugh at the exact same kinds of clips. The formula hasn't changed: people fall, animals do unexpected things, kids say offbeat stuff. And honestly, that's fine. There's comfort in knowing exactly what you're getting. Watching it live in Canada means you catch the same episodes as the US feed, but with Canadian commercials. The show works best as background TV, the kind of thing you put on when you want to half-watch something cheerful. It's not high art, but it's reliable. If you're looking to watch America's Funniest Home Videos online, expect a steady stream of pratfalls and groin hits edited into a tidy 30-minute package. The host's voiceover is warm and slightly dad-jokey. It's Comedy tv Canada at its most accessible, no political edge, no cynicism. Just a dog chasing its tail and someone getting hit in the crotch. a lazy Sunday afternoon.
