CTV Laughs is a comedy channel that understands its job: keep the laughs coming and don't get precious about it. The daytime block leans on sitcom reruns, the kind of half-hours you've half-seen a dozen times and will happily half-watch again. Prime time gets more ambitious. Stand-up specials, sketch compilations and panel shows that occasionally swing for something smarter than the room expects. It doesn't always land. Some of the late-night filler feels like scheduling room-temperature, and the ad breaks are frequent enough to test your patience. But the curation is genuinely Canadian, which matters if you're tired of comedy channels that treat the border as an afterthought. Homegrown stand-ups get real airtime here, not just a token slot at 2am. For anyone who wants Comedy tv Canada actually programmed by people who live here, this is a sensible default. Watch CTV Laughs online and you'll get comfort viewing, not reinvention, and that's fine.
