Berita RTM isn't flashy like its private rivals, but that's not its job. This is RTM's general channel, the public broadcaster's flagship, and it leans into its mandate hard. Mornings are dominated by talk shows that move slowly, with long studio segments on agriculture and community events that private stations wouldn't touch. The evening news is the channel's strongest asset: unvarnished, methodical, and mercifully free of the sensationalist graphics that clutter rival bulletins. What surprises is the cultural programming, traditional music performances, documentaries on Malaysian crafts, and coverage of state ceremonies that feel decades removed from the internet's tempo. The presentation is formal, almost stiff, but there's something refreshing about a channel that doesn't pretend to be your friend. If you want to understand how Malaysia's government communicates with its people, or if you're after a calm alternative to the commercial churn, Berita RTM delivers exactly what it promises. To watch Berita RTM online, Tvivu offers a clean stream without the bloat of the broadcaster's own site. This is General tv Malaysia at its most earnest, take it or leave it, but at least it knows what it is.
